Brief
This project involves the conversion of a four-storey Georgian building with a basement, located in a city centre, into a design office with a ground floor showroom. The proposal accommodates a multidisciplinary practice, combining workspace and client-facing exhibition areas.
The design responds to building regulations and best practices in office design, while also developing a strong brand identity. A key focus is on how the practice is presented and marketed to both existing and prospective clients within a prominent urban context.
Concept
The concept for Concrete and Cork is inspired by the raw, natural materials observed during a site visit to the Civic Offices, including concrete, timber, and steel. These materials informed both the spatial design and brand identity, with an emphasis on simplicity, material honesty, and refined form-making.
