Brief
This project involved the re-design of Huguenot House, St. Stephen’s Green, transforming it into the new headquarters for a retail company. The project focused on creating a contemporary commercial environment through spatial planning, site analysis, material selection, and integrated lighting, resulting in a cohesive and functional design.
Concept
This concept was inspired by the “Purity Drop” collection, particularly its voluminous, soft curves and the sense of regrowth it embodies. These qualities informed an approach centered on fluidity, lightness, and continuous transformation.
While the initial inspiration drew from the airy, ephemeral nature of soap bubbles, the final design evolved to align closely with the brand’s established identity and material language. Rather than relying on literal interpretations such as light blue tones, the proposal uses carefully selected materials, finishes, and colours that reflect the authentic character of COAT, expressing themes of purity, renewal, and change
